Round a bouts on 126 is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard of for an improvement on this hwy. Widening is absolutely a great idea. Round a bouts on this or any other 55mph highway is going to get people killed. Who thought this is a good idea? Who approved this? When did the people have a voice in this issue?

This is the most ridiculous idea I have ever heard. Widen the highway and add lighting. This is an extremely foggy area. What sense does it make to make it more difficult when you can’t see. Patrol this area (when widened) and start ticketing. Nothing says slow down like a $200.00 speeding ticket. Could the people who came up with roundabouts as a solution on this highway be any more ignorant?

Bridges are safe, better and longer term solution. Support innovation. Round about and signal lights are backward planning that can not solve the 126 hwy life threatening problems.

Hwy 126 is a HIGHWAY, not a city street! Doing roundabouts will have folks choosing alternate routes. I see increased traffic on Clear Lake Rd and accidents in our future. It seems counterintuitive to widen a road that is posted at 55mph, and then impact it by adding 5 roundabouts in a stretch of under a mile! If you want slower traffic in that section of corridor, lower the speed limit and PATROL IT. This is the main thoroughfare from Eugene to the coast, with lots of RVs, and toy haulers, as well as lots of freight trucks, log trucks, and the route emergency services take to get to the hospital. Whoever cooked up this ridiculous plan should be FIRED!
